Finding my first shift

How do I find my first shift?

The explore page in the app will help you find your first shift. You can use the filters at the top of the page (days, rate, distance, favorites) to narrow down your options. When you click on a shift, you'll find all of the details for you to review. You can submit a "shift request" by using the continue button at the bottom of the page.

How do I request a partial shift?

You can request a partial shift directly through the app. When you click on a shift, it will show you the shift details on the next page - along with a button that says "change to partial request." This will give you the ability to adjust the hours and submit a partial shift request.

When will the office respond to my request?

You can expect a response within 24 hours during the business week (Mon to Fri). If a shift goes 24+ hours outstanding, our team is following up with the office. If you have any questions about a pending request, please give us a call, text or email.

How do I submit my hours?

You do not need to clock in before your shift. You will be prompted to submit your timecard after the shift has been completed - directly in the app. You will submit your actual start time, break length, and end time for the shift.

Managing my schedule

How do I withdraw a pending request?

You can withdraw a shift request after 24 hours with no response. You can locate the withdraw button by clicking on the shift from your "my shifts" page. If you need to withdrew a request within 24 hours, please contact us via call, text, or email.

What is the cancellation policy?

An office cancels on a hygienist

If an office cancels a shift within 24 hours of the start time, you will receive a payment for 4 hours worth of work. This payment will be included in your weekly paycheck.

A hygienist cancels on an office

Any shift canceled within 2 weeks of the start date will be counted as a dropped shift against your account. We reserve the right to share this statistic with offices, and it could impact your ability to pick up future shifts.

What happens if I'm let go early from a shift?

You are paid for your time worked - with a 4 hour minimum applied to any shift. You should accurately record the start time, break length, and end time when you submit your timecard.

Payment and taxes

How do I get paid?

We run payroll weekly via direct deposit. You will be paid every Tuesday for all of the shifts you had worked the week prior (Mon to Sun).

How do taxes work with Teero?

You are considered a W2 employee of Teero. We will be withholding your taxes on all shifts worked through the platform. You will receive a single W2 form from Teero at the end of the year, and you do not need to worry about collecting any tax forms from the offices.

What additional info do I need to provide?

You will be prompted to complete your tax forms, direct deposit info, and I9 identify verification directly in the app. However, you won't be prompted to complete these items until you request your first shift.
